A Conversation with Symphony Towers’ New President & COO, Jason Hirsch

Symphony Towers recently welcomed Jason Hirsch as President & Chief Operating Officer. Jason brings 25 years of executive experience at American Tower, spanning real estate operations, corporate development, M&A, global strategy, and investment oversight, making him one of the most seasoned operators in the wireless infrastructure industry. We sat down with Jason to hear what drew him to Symphony, how he plans to lead, and where he sees the market heading in 2026 and beyond.

Why were you interested in heading up Symphony Towers?

I am here because I could not pass up the opportunity after getting to know the leadership team at Palistar.  In the end, we’re all in the people business, and I am thrilled to partner with this first-rate group that created the leading inorganic capital deployment enterprise to build something long-term that’s durable and truly differentiated as the sector is entering its next phase.  Symphony is defined not just by scale but with strategic partnerships, operating sophistication at the highest standards, and the ability to invest disciplined capital flexibly across the ecosystem.  Symphony has a strong foundation, ownership, and ambition to remain an unmatched long-term partner of choice, and I am confident we will further amplify this together.

You have 25 years of experience at American Tower. How will that influence your leadership style at Symphony?

At American Tower, I was blessed to have worked with the best visionaries and leaders in our industry, including the Founder Steve Dodge and his executive team.  I like to think my leadership style is a reflection of these relationships, and it all starts with authenticity. Anyone who has worked with me knows I lead by example, that I expect a lot, and care about their success. This is one of my guiding principles, along with entrepreneurial agility and energy — empowering, moving decisively when opportunities arise, combined with a foundation of capital discipline of a leading public tower company, and staying true to risk-adjusted returns.

What strategy for growth will you implement at Symphony Towers?

Our strategy centers on three pillars:

1. Partnerships Over Assets

We are not building a collection of transactions at Symphony. We are building an integrated, strategic relationship-led, long-term enterprise, inorganically.

2. Flexible Capital Deployment

We intend to be disciplined but opportunistic across tower M&A, rooftops, and land leases.

3. Operational Value Creation

In today’s environment, value-creation is derived as much through execution as entry pricing. At Symphony, we do what we say we are going to do, at scale. Ultimately, our growth at Symphony will be driven by disciplined capital allocation, strategic partnerships, repeatable operational excellence, and portfolio optimization with a long-term perspective.

Where are the carriers spending money in 2026?

We expect to see continued focus on convergence strategies with investments in fiber to the home networks, continued delivery on 2025’s explosive rural buildouts, and ongoing deployment of 5G mid-band spectrum.  2026 will seed activity for 2027 and beyond with carriers expanding and fine-tuning their networks to address both coverage and capacity.
